LeBLANC, Victoria ("Luce") (nee Timson) May 1, 1986 - October 15, 2018 Was born in London, England passed away in the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. Victoria was the oldest of many grandchildren and she was proud of her deaf identity. Her mother is Claire LeBlanc, (nee Fleming), of Port Moody, BC, and her biological father was Steven Timson of London, England, who passed away ten years ago. Her dad is Ernest (“Ernie”) LeBlanc of Surrey, BC. She also leaves behind her cherished boyfriend, Seth Lewis. Victoria was a graduate of the BC School for the Deaf in 2004. She graduated from Gallaudet University with a double major in English and Theatre in 2014 and she worked as an assistant program director for ADWAS, an organization that helps deaf women in Seattle, Washington. Luce had a short but a very rich and fulfilling life. She accomplished more than most people could accomplish in a lifetime. She traveled extensively, had so many rich experiences, and worked tirelessly as an advocate for social justice. She was passionate about helping people who were oppressed, and her kindness and her spirit will never be forgotten. She was skilled at sewing and enjoyed creating things, including costumes. She was a talented artist and writer and a gifted poet. She enjoyed acting and being involved with Deaf Theatre. She had a great sense of humour and a wit and intelligence that is rare. She cared about people and she tried to pay it forward every day of her life. She was a unique and special being and she will be sorely missed by all those who knew, respected, and loved her.
